Device information and settings

This section explains how to access device information and adjust the device settings for the Flytec Balloon 4.

Accessing device information and settings

Long press KB ok.png, then use KB up down.png to select Device, press KB ok.png

About

Shows information on your Flytec Balloon 4. Inside the Device menu, select About and press KB ok.png to get here.

  • Software version
  • S/N: The vario's serial number
  • PCB: The vario's internal manufacturing identification

Sensor correction

Over time, the pressure sensor built into the Flytec Balloon 4 may drift, which leads to erroneous altitude indications. This drift can be corrected by a maintenance or repair provider with access to a calibrated reference barometer. Inside the Device menu, select Sensor correction and press KB ok.png to get here. Use KB up down.png to adjust the value. Select one with KB ok.png or cancel with KB time.png.

The correction can be set from -10.0 hPa to 10.0 hPa (-0.295 inHg to 0.295 inHg).

Delete all flights

Deletes all flights stored in the flight log. This procedure cannot be undone.

  1. Inside the Device menu, select Delete all flights and press KB ok.png
  2. Confirm flight log deletion by pressing KB ok.png, or cancel with KB time.png

Factory reset

This puts the Flytec Balloon back into its original state, all data and settings except for the flight recording files are erased.

  1. Inside the Device menu, select Factory reset and press KB ok.png
  2. Confirm factory reset by pressing KB ok.png, or cancel with KB time.png

Internal settings

Internal information, mainly for development and manufacturing purposes. Inside the Device menu, select Internal settings and press KB ok.png to get here.
