Flytec Balloon 4:TemperatureSettings
The Flytec Balloon 4 indicates envelope temperature, as received by the Flytec Balloon TT34 temperature transmitter. This section explains how to configure temperature reception.
Accessing temperature settings
Determines whether the vario tries to receive temperature data from a TT34 or not. In the Temperature menu, select TT34 active and press to get here. Use to adjust the value. Select one with or cancel with .
- yes: Temperature reception is active

- Search for all transmitting TT34 (30s), pick one from a list
- Use first TT34 received
- Manually enter the TT34 ID
Runs a 30-second search for all TT34 in the vicinity, then presents you with a list, from which you select the correct TT34.
Use first TT34 received
With the ID being set to 0, the Flytec Balloon 4 will set the TT34 ID to the first ID it receives.
Manual TT34 ID entry
The Flytec Balloon can alert you if the envelope temperature exceeds a certain limit. Inside the Temperature menu, select Alert and press to get here.
Determines whether the pilot temperature alert is active or not. The manufacturer temperature alert will sound regardless of this setting when its threshold temperature is exceeded. In the Alert menu, select Active and press to get here. Use to adjust the value. Select one with or cancel with .
- yes: The pilot temperature alert is active
- no: The pilot temperature alert is not active
Defines the minimum envelope temperature required to trigger the pilot temperature alert. In the Alert menu, select Threshold and press to get here. Use to adjust the value. Select one with or cancel with .
